Annuities Sales Desk Specialist - Internal Wholesaler | Prudential Financial | Shelton, CT

Description & Requirements:
Successful Internal Wholesale candidates for the National Sales Desk in
Shelton, CT will:
- Develop new business within the territory by calling identified reps
and providing sales and marketing information
- Maintain contact with reps and keep them up to date on products
- Offer information, ideas and other material required in completing
sales
- Stay informed of business trends in the industry in order to be
proactive in providing sales solutions
- Work closely with External wholesalers, Marketing, Compliance, and
Sales Management
- Build relationships with Financial Professionals within Sales
territory
- Demonstrate Territory Management skills and have the ability to
organize multiple priorities
- Solid understanding of a business-to-business sales model
- Strong self motivators
- Maintain open communication with Wholesaler
- Participate in an attractive compensation plan
- Possess in-depth understanding of annuities industry and key
competitors in the marketplace
Additional Skills Required:
- 2 - 4 years of Sales experience, preferably in financial services
- Action oriented - dynamic self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit and
drive.
- Ability to 'sell' the product
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of more complex annuity and industry-related
concepts
- Excellent telephone communication skills
- Strong teamwork orientation
- Strong customer focus
- NASD Series 6 & 63 (preferred)
- State Insurance license (preferred)
Skills Developed:
- NASD registration Series 6 and 63 obtained in specified timeframe
- Resident state insurance license obtained in specified timeframe
- Extensive Product knowledge
